My name is Natalie Delia Deckard. I am an Assistant Professor of Criminology in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Windsor. I am also an #OLDFF fellow in the #ONHumanLearn project, with participants across Ontario. I think of myself as a scholar, a teacher, and an advocate.
Participation in this program as a fellow pushed me to really ask “how am I connecting to my students?” Thinking this question through with program facilitators, I realized I had never really asked them. This video is the result of my doing so – and finding that, for me, the answer is bigger than face-to-face and online.
